Cache Upgrade Procedure
To upgrade the cache in the Super Voyager VLB-II board, follow this procedure:
1. Make sure that the system is powered off.
2. Make sure that the operator is properly grounded to prevent ESD.
Check your manual for proper ESD precautions.
3. Remove the following 8Kx8 SRAMs from their sockets:
U7 U8
U10 U11
U17 U18
U19 U20
4. Replace these SRAMs with the 32Kx8 SRAMs (Make sure that pin 1 of
the socket matches with the pin 1 of the SRAM).
5. Turn all positions of SW1 to "ON".
After system power-on your system should now report 256KB cache
installed.
